Beside the Cairo-based PMI-MENA Chapter, delegates from the PMI Arabian Gulf Chapter, PMI Jordan Chapter, PMI Lebanon Chapter and PMI Morocco together with 3 PMI EMEA region staff and the component mentor for Region 12, Mr. Yahya Khadar, discussed means to strengthen the cooperation between the chapters in the region. Mr. Khadar provided the opening speech. Dr. Gamal –President of PMI MENA Chapter – welcomed the gathering in Cairo, Egypt, and then Chapter representatives presented the lessons learned on developing a chapter-success stories., Alessandro Cortese, PMI EMEA RSC Director, discussed PMI Global congress EMEA 2009 and beyond, while Alec Walker, PMI EMEA RSC Marketing Manager, presented a Marketing Tool kit for Chapter leaders. PMI MENA Chapter representative sees this meeting as an opportunity to promote the project management profession in the region and synergize the efforts of the chapter leaders to achieve their objectives of the chapters.
