On a worldwide Scale, PMI forms alliances with organizations with which it shares interests, as well as governmental and nonprofit agencies PMI also builds relationships with the project management training community through the Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) Program. Designed to identify project management learning and products for PMI stakeholders, the R.E.P. Program has undergone considerable enhancements since its inception in mid-1999. With over 1000 training providers worldwide in 2004, the PMI Registered Education Provider name and logo is now identified as the premier comprehensive continuing education program related to the field of project management. All REPs adhere to criteria established by PMI for appropriate professional development activities and are subject to each renewal year and random audits of their constitute programs' quality.
